God led you into a desert,
To test you once again.
The place appears dry and barren,
Not beautiful for man.
"Why am I here?" you ask with tears.
He chooses not to say.
You need not to know the reason;
Look up to Him and stay.
"There's no glory in the desert;
This place I don't deserve.
All's still and very silent here,
What purpose can it serve?"
Be faithful in the desert place,
Holding forth faith's strong shield.
Don't hasten soon to go your way,
Until your all you yield.
Drink deeply in the desert;
Be refreshed and renewed.
Let His Spirit fill you fully--
Then go forth and be used.
