Grace

by Ralph I. Tilley

Grace—the Father's generous favor toward those
deserving nothing but death and hell.
In the loving heart of God was it conceived;
is freely given to all who fell.

Grace—the Son's very life was uniquely given
for all sheep who have wandered away.
Through Christ's blood it is offered
to all who renounce sin, self, and pray.

Grace—the Spirit's sole mandate and faithful mission
is to communicate the Father's plan;
Drawing sinners to the Lord,
conforming each to the perfect Man.

Grace—God's mighty power operating within,
strengthening us the Lamb to honor.
Alone, we are defeated;
filled with grace we go forth to conquer.

Grace—which key is it unlocking this special door?
How can the redeemed receive plenty?
Then I heard the Master say,
"Become as a child—humility."
