O God, your eyes are constantly searching
For a heart perfect and true;
Searching for God-hungry men and women,
Fully devoted to You.
Wishing to reveal Your strength and power
In this present day and age,
You are looking for sanctified vessels
You can easily manage.
“Where is the Christian,” You yearningly ask,
“Whose heart is completely Mine;
Who relies only on Me and not self,
dwelling always in the Vine?”
O God, I so want to be that person
Who catches Your roaming eyes;
One who has a heart where only You live
And Your smile is his chief prize.
“Dear child, I’m delighted, as Your Father,
To hear such aspiration;
Let Me now cleanse, fill, then mold and test You
For a strategic mission.”
As God’s eyes are searching for that person
Whom He wishes to support,
Will the eyes of God rest on you and me?
Is the question of import.
