All We Need

God’s mercies are new morning by morning;
Without end His faithfulness He displays.
From His right side rich blessings are flowing
To all who live only to His Son’s praise. 

Grace in abundance, peace beyond measure—
Roll like torrents from His throne through the Cross,
So that not one in whom He takes pleasure
Should ever have reason to suffer loss. 

Infinite love that defies description
Is lavished on those who cherish His Son;
Kindness which shuns every limitation,
He freely gives out to all He has won. 

With such vast wealth surrounding His children,
Why should our days be so heavy with care?
Do we not know our Father in Heaven
Has all we need and is willing to share? 

So let us go daily, time and again,
Asking simply for what we stand in need;
Knowing our requests will not be in vain—
Because He loves both in word and in deed.
